What Is CJC-1295 Peptide?
CJC-1295 is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH), the hypothalamic hormone that signals the pituitary to release growth hormone. It is built on GHRH (1-29), the first 29 amino acids of the natural hormone and the shortest fragment with full activity, with four amino acids substituted at positions 2, 8, 15 and 27. Those substitutions protect the chain from the enzymes that break native GHRH down within minutes.
The CJC-1295 peptide comes in two versions. This page is the one without DAC, the most widely researched and the one most suppliers mean when they say CJC-1295. The other carries a drug affinity complex that keeps it active for days, and is sold separately as CJC-1295 DAC.
CJC 1295 No DAC: Mod GRF (1-29)
The scientific name for CJC-1295 No DAC is Modified GRF (1-29), sometimes written Mod GRF 1-29 or tetrasubstituted GRF. The CJC name comes from ConjuChem, the Canadian company that developed the DAC version; the same modified chain without the DAC became known as CJC-1295 No DAC, and today the two names are used interchangeably.
What matters for research is the half-life. Without the DAC to bind albumin, CJC-1295 without DAC lasts about 30 minutes. The pituitary naturally releases growth hormone in pulses, and a short-acting GHRH analogue produces a pulse that rises and falls, rather than a raised baseline held for days.
What Does CJC-1295 Do?
CJC-1295 binds the GHRH receptor on the somatotroph cells of the anterior pituitary, the same receptor native GHRH uses. That stimulates the synthesis and release of growth hormone, which in turn drives production of IGF-1 in the liver. The No DAC version does this in a short burst, which makes it the tool for studying GH release in response to a single stimulus, or for preserving the pulse pattern across a study. CJC-1295 No DAC vs CJC-1295 DAC
| CJC-1295 No DAC | CJC-1295 DAC | |
|---|---|---|
| Also called | Mod GRF (1-29) | CJC-1295 with DAC |
| Length | 29 amino acids | 29 amino acids plus lysine linker |
| Half-life | About 30 minutes | Roughly 6 to 8 days |
| GH pattern | Pulse | Sustained elevation |
| Chainwell vial | 10mg | 5mg |
Our recommendation: for most GH secretagogue research, and for any study pairing a GHRH analogue with ipamorelin, choose CJC-1295 No DAC. Choose CJC-1295 DAC only when your design specifically calls for days of sustained elevation. Our guide to CJC-1295 DAC vs no DAC covers the choice in more depth.
CJC-1295 10mg Vial
We supply CJC-1295 No DAC as a 10mg lyophilized vial in a 3 mL clear glass vial with a rubber stopper and purple flip-off cap. Each administration of a short-acting analogue lasts minutes rather than days, so pulsatile studies get through more material than sustained-elevation ones, and the 10mg fill is twice that of our DAC vial.
To reconstitute, add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inside wall with a U-100 insulin syringe and swirl gently until clear. As a worked example, 2 mL in the 10mg vial gives 5mg per mL. Keep the reconstituted vial at 2 to 8 °C and use it within 28 days. Our reconstitution guide and calculator covers other volumes.
CJC-1295 With Ipamorelin
CJC-1295 No DAC is most often researched alongside ipamorelin, a selective ghrelin receptor agonist. The two act on different pituitary receptors, and combining a GHRH analogue with a ghrelin agonist is reported to produce a larger GH release than either alone. If your protocol uses both at equal amounts, the CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin Blend puts 5mg of each in one vial. For comparison studies, buy separate vials.
Lab-Tested CJC-1295 With a COA for Every Lot
CJC-1295 with and without DAC look identical as powders, and suppliers mix up the names. Every Chainwell Peptide CJC-1295 No DAC lot is sent to an independent laboratory before release, where mass spectrometry confirms the molecular mass matches Mod GRF (1-29) and HPLC measures purity. A lot that does not meet specification is not sold. Check your lot on our COA lookup page.

CJC-1295 No DAC FAQ
What is CJC-1295?
+
CJC-1295 is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone, built on its first 29 amino acids with four substitutions that slow its breakdown. It comes in two versions: No DAC, also called Mod GRF (1-29), which lasts about 30 minutes, and DAC, which lasts days. Chainwell Peptide sells both.
What does CJC-1295 do?
+
CJC-1295 binds the GHRH receptor in the pituitary and stimulates the release of growth hormone, which raises IGF-1. The No DAC version does this in a short pulse that mirrors natural release, which is why it is the version used in most pulsatile research.
Is CJC-1295 No DAC the same as Mod GRF 1-29?
+
Yes. CJC-1295 No DAC and Mod GRF (1-29) are two names for the same compound. The DAC version carries a drug affinity complex that binds albumin; without it you have Mod GRF (1-29), which is why it is sold as CJC-1295 No DAC.
What is the difference between CJC-1295 DAC and no DAC?
+
CJC-1295 DAC binds albumin and lasts roughly six to eight days, suiting sustained elevation studies. CJC-1295 No DAC lasts about 30 minutes, suiting pulsatile studies and pairing with ipamorelin. Chainwell Peptide sells both as separate products.
Where can I buy CJC-1295 in Australia?
+
You can buy CJC-1295 in Australia from Chainwell Peptide: CJC-1295 No DAC as a 10mg vial, CJC-1295 DAC as a 5mg vial, or blended with ipamorelin. Every lot carries a lot number matched to an independent certificate of analysis, and orders paid before 3pm on a business day ship the same day.
