About NAD+
NAD+ is a coenzyme rather than a peptide. Because of its larger fill weight of 500 mg, it is filled in a 10 mL vial.
Available in 500 mg, supplied as lyophilized powder in a 10 mL glass vial. Every vial is labeled with its lot number, and each lot has a certificate of analysis.
Reconstitution and storage
NAD+ is supplied as lyophilized powder and needs a sterile diluent before use. Most labs use bacteriostatic water, drawn with a U-100 insulin syringe.
Unopened vials keep longest frozen at minus 20 °C, or at 2 to 8 °C for use within a few weeks. Once reconstituted, keep the vial refrigerated and use it within 28 days.
Reconstitution guide
- Let the peptide vial reach room temperature so condensation does not form inside.
- Remove the flip-off caps and wipe both rubber stoppers with an alcohol swab.
- Draw the planned volume of bacteriostatic water into a sterile syringe.
- Inject slowly down the inside wall of the vial, not directly onto the powder.
- Swirl gently until clear. Do not shake, since agitation can damage the peptide chain.
- Write the reconstitution date on the label and refrigerate at 2 to 8 °C.
| Vial | Water added | Concentration | Per 10 units (0.1 mL) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 mg | 2 mL | 2.5 mg/mL | 0.25 mg |
| 10 mg | 1 mL | 10 mg/mL | 1 mg |
| 10 mg | 2 mL | 5 mg/mL | 0.5 mg |
| 50 mg | 3 mL | 16.7 mg/mL | 1.67 mg |
On a U-100 insulin syringe, 10 units equals 0.1 mL.
Mitochondrial FAQ
What is SS-31?
+
SS-31, also known as elamipretide, is a synthetic tetrapeptide that concentrates in the inner mitochondrial membrane and binds cardiolipin. It is studied in mitochondrial dysfunction research.
Which MOTS-C size should I choose?
+
The 10 mg vial suits short studies and first orders. The 40 mg vial is for ongoing protocols, but only choose it if you will use the reconstituted vial within the roughly 28 day storage window at 2 to 8 °C.
